What is a Salteña?
The Bolivian "Salteña" is an exquisite delicacy and worthy representative of the Latin America culinary tradition. Baked to perfection, they offer a crispy exterior that gives way to a warm, juicy interior that keeps it warm in a climate as cold as the Bolivian highlands. Whether enjoyed as a quick lunch or a hearty appetizer, they are a perfect savory pastry for any time of day.
